Our Founder
Shibli Nomani (1857-1914) was a multifaceted personality - a renowned Islamic scholar, poet, philosopher, historian, educationist, and social reformer. As a prominent figure in the Indian subcontinent during the British era, he is revered as the "Father of Urdu Historiography". His linguistic proficiency extended to Arabic and Persian, in addition to Urdu.
Shibli Nomani's association with the influential Aligarh and Nadwa movements had a profound impact on his vision for education. As a proponent of the Deobandi school of thought, he advocated for the integration of English language and European sciences into the traditional education system. This progressive approach continues to inspire the academic philosophy at Shibli National Inter College.
